Every stop exists. The general models invented one in 701, checked by hand.
MarcoPolo, a model built to plan trips
It plans from real places. On eight test briefs it invented no stops, returned 114 of 115 as verified places on the map and ran up to 4.6x faster than general AI models.
Against general AI models
The same 8 trip briefs, planned by MarcoPolo and by GPT-6, Gemini 3.8 Flash and Claude Opus 4.8 through their public APIs.
Four models plan the same eight trips
Median time to a finished plan, played at 10x- MarcoPolo
- Gemini 3.8 Flash

Each one is pinned on the map, ready for your team to quote and book. None of the general models' stops are.
Request to every day written, measured on production. The first day reaches the map in about five seconds.
Every stop arrives checked and on the map. A general model costs $0.17 or more a day once each stop is checked.

Eight trip briefs, each planned by MarcoPolo and by three general AI models (GPT-6, Gemini 3.8 Flash and Claude Opus 4.8) through their public APIs on 25 September 2026. MarcoPolo's time is MarcoPolo Chat end to end on production, from the request to every day written (median of two runs of each brief, 26 September 2026). The general models' time is the median to a finished trip. Cost per trip day is MarcoPolo's list price, and its places come from the catalogue already checked and mapped. For the general models it is the public list price of the tokens used, plus one place lookup per stop to confirm it exists and put it on the map (Google Places, $32 per 1,000), over the 43 trip days. An invented place is a stop that does not exist, checked by hand. A verified place is a stop from our catalogue, checked and pinned on the map.
How it plans a trip
- 1
Reads the request
Where, how long, who is going and what they like, in the traveller's own words. - 2
Picks real places
Every stop is a verified place from the catalogue, pinned on the map, so your team can quote and book it as it stands. - 3
Orders the days
It picks the cities, then orders the places within each day. - 4
Writes each day
Each day gets its own text, and the first reaches the map in about five seconds.
Where it plans from real places
In these five countries every stop comes from the catalogue. Outside them MarcoPolo Chat still plans the trip, without the catalogue.

For developers
Call MarcoPolo from your own code. The API is in early access. A developer account in the Partner Hub comes with an API key, a playground, a request log and usage, and starts in a sandbox. We review every account before it opens.
